1. How do I know how I or my group compares on cost/resource use? CMS will provide feedback on performance using administrative claims data in the fall of 2023 which can help provide insight into your cost category performance. The cost category has a full-year performance period, or the 12-month period from January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023. However, physicians are not required to submit any data on specific cost measures for this category; CMS will use administrative claims data to assess performance on the following 2 cost measures: Medicare Spending per Beneficiary Clinician (MSPB-C) and Total Per Capita Cost (TPCC): CMS will provide feedback on performance using administrative claims on MSPB-C and TPCC measures by Summer 2024 when you sign in to the QPP website.
