PAI’s management services are provided by consultants with years of experience leading federal, state and private sector advocacy initiatives on behalf of physicians.
PAI’s Chief Executive Officer, Kelly Kenney, has over twenty years experience representing physician organizations as a health care government affairs attorney and advocacy consultant. Prior to assuming her role with PAI in January of 2015, Kelly represented several clients with a wide variety of interests in the health care sector as Principal of K2 Strategies LLC.
From 1993-2012, Kelly served in various capacities at the American Medical Association. Her AMA career included several years as Director of the AMA’s State Advocacy Resource Center, where, along with a team of health care attorneys, she developed and implemented numerous state legislative and regulatory campaigns on behalf of the AMA and its component medical associations. Kelly also served as Advocacy Campaign Director for the AMA’s Private Sector Advocacy unit, focusing on administrative simplification, fair contracting and payment and transparency initiatives. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan.
Janet Jones, CPA, manages all of the financial and administrative operations for PAI in coordination with the EVP and PAI Board. Janet has over twenty years financial administration experience in the not for profit industry. Janet has been with Texas Medical Association since 1994 where served as the Director of Finance until 2002 and currently serves as the Director of Finance for the Texas Medical Association Insurance Trust and other related organizations. Janet has worked with PAI since it began in 2006, is a licensed Certified Public Account in the state of Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
